Airline DPP Pilot Results Revealed

The Airline Clothing Show by PCIAW® will present exclusive findings from the Digital Product Passport (DPP) pilot project for the aviation industry on 10th September 2026, at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Dallas, Texas in a show co-locating with IFSA Global EXPO.

A major regulatory shift is fast approaching the global aviation industry, yet many airline procurement teams remain entirely unprepared. By 2027, any uniforms supplied to workforces operating within the European Union will legally require a Digital Product Passport (DPP) to enter the market, requiring end-to-end product and supply chain data for every garment.

This pilot project by Dayrize in partnership with PCIAW® delivered the end-to-end process for 10 uniform garments with three airline uniform partnerships including Lands’ End and Delta Air Line, Unisync Group and Air Canada and DressBest Uniforms and Riyadh Air to show airlines how to navigate the new mandate.

Real-World Testing: From Compliance to Supply Chain Optimisation

While the primary goal of the workflow was mapping the data mandatory for legal compliance, the pilots yielded a powerful secondary benefit. The granular visibility required for the DPP gave airlines completely new insights into their supply chains, unlocking unexpected data to help optimise, streamline, and improve the lifecycle of their uniform programs.

“The 2027 deadline is not a distant policy issue. It is an imminent disruption to global supply chains,” said Yvette Ashby, CEO of PCIAW. “We facilitated these pilot projects to prove that DPP compliance is entirely achievable, but it requires immediate action. Airlines cannot afford to wait until 2027 to map their data; they need to see how these industry leaders did it, and they need to start now.”

Unlocking Value from Regulatory Pressure

Rather than viewing the upcoming EU mandate purely as a regulatory hurdle, the panel will demonstrate how proactive airlines can leverage DPP workflows to drive measurable efficiency and sustainability improvements across their entire uniform supply chain.

“Digital Product Passports are about much more than compliance,” “Our platform makes it easy for organisations to collect and structure the data needed to meet EU requirements, while unlocking valuable insights into their products and supply chains. That means businesses can not only prepare for new regulations, but also make better decisions around design, sourcing and sustainability.”

Austin Simms, CEO of Dayrize.

Why Airline Procurement Teams Cannot Afford to Wait

The panel at The Airline Clothing Show will break down exactly how these six major industry players successfully navigated the complex data-gathering process. Attendees will gain a transparent look at the roadblocks encountered, the solutions engineered by Dayrize, and a clear roadmap for how airlines must adapt their procurement processes before the 2027 deadline.
