Debut of CORDURA® re/cor™ RN6 into apparel – featured in Napapijri´s The Premium Collection.

Kennesaw – August 23, 2022 – Hot on the heels of Napapijri Northfarer’s switch to CORDURA® UltraLite Fabric earlier this year, the iconic Skidoo jacket has now been recreated using fully recycled CORDURA® re/cor™ RN6 as part of the FW22 Collection entitled ‘The Premium Outdoor Collection’.

While the Northfarer already celebrates the brand’s most iconic shape, the anorak, and elevates it to a sleek, urban style made in CORDURA® UltraLite Fabric; the Skidoo created using CORDURA® re/cor™ RN6 is featured in the new FW22 Premium Outdoor Collection – a collection of premium outdoor styles merging urban aesthetic, functionality, and comfort for eco-conscious consumers.

Built at the crossroad of fashion, performance and responsibility, the Premium Outdoor Collection explores materials such as fully recycled CORDURA® re/cor™ RN6 and CORDURA® UltraLite Fabric as the foundational bricks of every outstanding outdoor experience.

CORDURA® Advanced Fabrics recently introduced its new CORDURA® re/cor™ portfolio, urging the industry to ‘Expect More, Waste Less.’

Paolo Pezzin, senior material manager at Napapijri explains: “Napapijri has always worked with CORDURA® fabrics to create iconic products. CORDURA® is synonymous with resistance, durability and responsibilty; producing long-lasting garments that encourage consumers to buy less and wear more, breaking the fast-fashion habit. With the use of CORDURA® re/cor™ RN6 , Napapijri can now offer products that are highly sustainable using responsibly recycled sources instead of virgin materials.“

Napapijri Premium Outdoor Collection
The Premium Outdoor Collection design inspiration explores the many sides of Norway as a country that is deeply linked with the very essence of the brand through its flag – a symbol of openness and passion for the outdoors.

This collection celebrates the many faces of what it means to live, breathe, and embrace life outside. Bringing to life the Norwegian design inspiration in a series of sleek, clean, and versatile looks, this collection uses premium materials to elevate any moment spent outdoors to a comfortable, dynamic experience. Be it in the city or in the wildest winter environment, Napapijri brings forward an iconic aesthetic that infuses outdoor living with the energy of self-expression.

Malayka Erpen, Global Consumer Segment Leader CORDURA® adds: “We are applying our knowledge of durable fibre and fabric technologies to help shape and define the apparel of tomorrow, and we are thrilled to partner with Napapijri on their latest collection. Our GRS certified post-consumer recycled polyester and pre-consumer RN6 fabric technologies, are both folded into our CORDURA® re/cor™ line. As the world evolves, we know a large piece of that will fall within stewardship and sustainability – we’ve put this work at the front of our efforts.

“Consumers are looking for apparel that they can use for both work and leisure pursuits. Innovation is at the core of what CORDURA® truly is, and we make it a priority to continually bring new ideas and products to our brand and retail partners.”
