[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Sustainability has been at the core of CORDURA® since the brand was founded over 50 years ago, designing apparel and gear products with longevity, versatility, durability and performance in mind.

For CORDURA® brand, sustainability has never been just a fashionable word. It’s been at our core since CORDURA® was founded over 50 years ago, designing apparel and gear products with longevity, versatility, durability and performance in mind. Our sustainable policy is based on our brand’s enduring, proven and tested, proposition: durability. It defines CORDURA® at every level. For us it means constantly innovating and a drive towards a circular economy by keeping products and materials in use for as long as possible.

We are challenged to think about how and where we can reduce our impact on the environment. As a result, we seek to work with and build enduring partnerships with a supply chain that is committed to sustainability.
We are proud to celebrate the success of these CORDURA® authorized mills producing ISPO Textrends 2021/22 awardwinning fabrics in their sustainable manufacturing facilities.
Ekoten, Turkey award-winning CORDURA® 4EVER™ KNITS – an inter-reaction between natural fibres and the radical in-built durability of high tenacity nylon 6,6 fibre. The result is enduring protection that finds expression in performance knits for hoodies, joggers and other sportswear for everyday to extreme conditions.
Ekoten’s commitment to sustainability and its focus on efficient energy practices is impressive. Fabrics are produced using solar powered energy, which has helped reduce their CO2 emission by over 800 tons. Their equally focussed waste minimisation programme implemented throughout their facilities has resulted in 330 tons of waste paper and 250 tons of scrap fabric being recycled.
NYCO fabrics built with military-grade fibre technology blended with cotton for engineered stretch comfort, enhanced abrasion resistance and long-lasting performance. Sapphire Finishing Mills have invested to develop a comprehensive sustainability programme: their energy repurposing initiative entailed switching a fossil-fuelled cogeneration plant to biofuels. Since this started in 2014, CO2 emissions have been reduced by an estimated 55,000 tons per year.
And we have our own winners: CORDURA® ECO fabrics and CORDURA® TRUELOCK fabrics – where technology gives a new twist to the traditional. These are fabrics being made with fibre technologies that offer greener processes, raw materials and systems. More imaginative thinking that helps delivers more sustainable CORDURA® fabrics solutions. Like fibres made from recycled post-consumer resources in our CORDURA® ECO range. Or produced using processes that help reduce the use of water and energy and generate less CO2 in our CORDURA® TRUELOCK range. Authentic, ecological and durable.
