The Professional Clothing Industry Association Worldwide (PCIAW®) is happy to announce the full list of companies that will host factory tours for delegates attending the inaugural PCIAW® Summit, Exhibition & Awards in Portugal, sponsored by Carrington Textiles.
Organised by ANIVEC, the Portuguese Association for Textiles, the tours will showcase the capabilities of the local textile ecosystem and provide attendees with the opportunity to see firsthand how garments are manufactured using the latest technologies. Companies spanning various specialities from footwear and workwear to bedding and luxury fashion will open their doors, highlighting Portugal’s strengths as a nearshore textile and apparel production hub.

Calvelex is a garment manufacturer founded in 1985, operating 3 production units and 2 logistic centres with over 600 workers. Focused in high-end apparel with expertise in tailoring, the core products are coats, jackets, trousers and dresses. Carrington Textiles is a workwear textile manufacturer, exporting to more than 80 countries. Carrington partnered with Acabamentos Têxteis SA more than 20 years ago and officially signed a joint venture in 2017. The premises has an annual production capacity of 18 million metres of fabric for workwear and fashion.
