Renewcell, the multi-award-winning sustaintech company based in Sweden, has signed an employment contract with Kristina Elg Christoffersson.
Elg Christoffersson will join the company as Chief Technology Officer with overall responsibility for process and product development. As CTO, she will be part of the company leadership team and report directly to the CEO.
The Renewcell vision is to inspire an Industrial Evolution to a sustainable world by producing high quality materials from recycled textiles. Through its patented process, Renewcell is able to upcycle cellulosic textile waste, such as cotton clothes, transforming it into a pristine new material called Circulose®. Fast Company name Renewcell as one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies 2021. Circulose® was also included on TIME Magazine’s list of the 100 Best Inventions 2020.
Elg Christoffersson is currently CTO at the Swedish dissolving pulp producer Domsjö Fabriker AB in Örnsköldsvik, which since 2011 is a subsidiary of the Indian company Aditya Birla Group, one of the worlds largest viscose fiber producers.

Kristina Elg Christoffersson has a Ph.D. in chemistry and has worked on product and process development within dissolving pulp production since earning her degree in 2005.
In addition to her current position as CTO, she has also been production manager and R&D manager at Domsjö Fabriker.
Elg Christoffersson assumes the position as CTO at Renewcell in August 2021.
