The International Biathlon Union (IBU) has today signed a partnership with ALPINE PRO to become the federation’s official clothing supplier from 2019-2022.
As the IBU Official Clothing Partner, ALPINE PRO will supply the official winter wear for IBU Executive Board members, IBU staff and sport technical officials for three seasons, through until the end of the 2021/22 season. In addition, ALPINE PRO will supply the Executive Board with custom jackets, which will be worn at official occasions and ceremonies. For the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games, a special collection will be developed in compliance with the IOC’s Rule 50 and will be distributed to those persons officiating at the Games. A small summer collection will also be provided for those regularly travelling and representing the IBU during the summer season.
IBU President Olle Dahlin said:
“ALPINE PRO is an award-winning company and has a proven track record of delivering high-quality winter wear for world-class athletes. We have no doubt that they will be an excellent partner and we look forward to working with them in the years ahead.”
IBU First Vice President Jiri Hamza added:
“Having worked closely with ALPINE PRO in my capacity outside of the IBU I know from personal experience that they are a world-class clothing manufacturer. This partnership will greatly benefit both parties and ensure that the IBU is equipped with the very highest-quality winter apparel.”
ALPINE PRO CEO Václav Hrbek said:
“We are delighted to be the IBU’s Official Clothing Partner for the next three years. It follows our long-term corporate strategy to dress up top athletes, teams and sports organizers. As a company, we pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence and so it is an honour to be partnering with the IBU and the biathlon family. We share the IBU’s values and we are excited by the opportunity to have our clothing worn by the sport’s top officials.”
