Milliken is also a well-respected member of the PCIAW® since joining in July 2019, following an extensive partnership with the organization. We caught up with Jeff Morris, Senior Vice President of Milliken & Company to talk all about how Milliken has coped during the pandemic.
Can you tell us what you have been working on over the last few months and during the current pandemic?
Over the course of the last few months, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Milliken has invested significant resources to increase domestic production of its Perimeter™ medical fabrics. 
Altogether, Milliken has prioritized medical fabric production and provided over 10,000,000 yards of fabric to protect front line workers in response to the global shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Milliken’s durable Perimeter fabric is not only engineered for manufacturing Level 1 and 2 gowns for critical medical environments such as trauma centers but also provides a smart solution for other industries such as dental, educational and hospitality environments where advanced PPE is now important.
How have you supported your customers and the PPE industry during COVID-19?
We quickly implemented additional health and safety precautions, such as temperature checks, increased PPE requirements and adjusted run schedules so that our plants can continue to perform, deliver and ultimately service our customers. 
Milliken supplies PPE to multiple industries including the industrial workwear market, fire service and US and international militaries. While we pivoted some of our resources company-wide to support production of medical PPE and protection of front line medical workers, we remain dedicated to all of our industries that need PPE.
Finally, what are your thoughts on being members of the PCIAW®?
PCIAW® is an excellent organization that provides industry insights when we need them most during these unprecedented times. Now, more than ever, we need to unite globally and support one another. PCIAW® is a leader of this effort by digitally connecting its members around the world.
