Input control

OEKO-TEX® ECO PASSPORT is an independent certification for textile and leather chemicals, dyes, and auxiliaries. The certification assists manufacturers in the selection of chemicals that are environmentally friendly and harmless in terms of human ecology. They have reliable control over the substances used, right from their procurement, even before they feed them into their production process.

The OEKO-TEX® ORGANIC COTTON certification is a reliable certification system for textile products made from organic cotton or blends with organic cotton. The first step is the qualitative DNA analysis of the sample material, i.e. answering the question: Does a product contain genetically modified cotton, yes or no? If yes, a quantification is carried out in a second step, i.e. the proportion of genetically modified cotton in a cotton product is determined.

Process control

OEKO-TEX® STeP (Sustainable Textile and Leather Production) is an independent certification for environmentally friendly and socially responsible production facilities in the textile and leather supply chain wanting to transparently document their sustainable commitment through an assessment, a company audit, and a final scoring. Used by global brands and retailers, STeP helps to find independently verified suppliers that meet environmental protection and social responsibility requirements.

Output control

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is an independent certification system for textiles from all stages of production that have been tested for harmful substances. The certificate is awarded when all elements of an item fulfil the necessary requirements, which are updated annually.

OEKO-TEX® LEATHER STANDARD is an independent certification system for leather articles from all stages of production that have been tested for harmful substances. The certificate is awarded when all elements of an item fulfil the necessary requirements.

OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN is a product label for textiles and leather articles from materials tested for harmful substances that were manufactured in environmentally friendly facilities and under socially responsible working conditions. MADE IN GREEN makes it possible to trace labelled products transparently and learn more about their manufacture.

The OEKO-TEX® ORGANIC COTTON, MADE IN GREEN, STANDARD 100 and LEATHER STANDARDproduct labels offer buyers reliable orientation for well-informed purchasing decisions.
