The Professional Clothing Industry Association Worldwide (PCIAW®) is proudly representing the uniform, workwear and PPE supply chains in two major exhibitions in 2025, focusing on the airline and construction industries.
On 7-9th May 2025, PCIAW® will host the first ever Workwear & PPE Live at UK Construction Week, which will be located at London ExCel. This trade show will connect major professional clothing brands with the largest construction buyers from around the world.
Workwear & PPE Live will feature major brands that supply ergonomic workwear, female-fit protective clothing and footwear, alongside innovative sustainable solutions. Across three days, PCIAW® will be hosting thought leadership panels, round table discussions and a construction fashion show to showcase the design-led movement in construction clothing.
UK Construction Week London attracts over 24,000 visitors of which, 72% have authority to spend. The exhibition attracts key decision makers responsible for 1 million live projects in marketplace worth £100 billion.

Yvette Ashby, CEO & Founder of PCIAW®, commented “This partnership with UK Construction Week and the launch of Workwear and PPE Live comes at a pivotal moment for the professional clothing industry as our association works to ensure that lifesaving equipment is made, purchased, and used responsibly with a focus on female-fit. There is incoming legislation and social pressures for buyers to incorporate sustainability and responsible design in their workwear, and to meet these requirements it’s essential to find trustworthy suppliers through an event such as this.
Sabina Tayub, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Galliford Try commented: “I began my career in civil engineering after earning a Master of Engineering degree. I worked across various roles and faced persistent challenges with the design of PPE, which often fails to accommodate women’s body shapes. The trousers weren’t suited to the hips and curves that we have as women. They were not suited to our body. That restricted my movement to do my job safely. I am proud to represent women in construction as an Ambassador for Workwear & PPE Live by PCIAW® to raise awareness to get PPE right for females in our industry.

On 9th – 11th September 2025, PCIAW® will host the second edition of the Airline Clothing Show at APEX / IFSA Global Expo, located at the Long Beach Convention Centre, Long Beach, California, US.
Attracting over 3000 aviation leaders to source end-to-end customer experience solutions, APEX / IFSA Global EXPO offers an opportunity for the professional clothing supply chain to educate on innovations that improve the protection, comfort and sustainability of above-wing and below-wing uniforms and PPE.
83 airline companies attended the APEX / IFSA Global EXPO in 2023, and for this year’s exhibition, the organisers have extended the event for 2.5 days of exhibits in additional to thought leadership panels on the main stage, alongside a series of interactive round table discussions.

Nisha Muire, Uniform Program Manager, Air Canada said: “I’ve learned a lot from being involved in the Uniform Buyers’ Network with PCIAW®. Uniforms are an essential part of the airline industry, for brand recognition, but also security. This initiative to include professional clothing will be incredibly value-adding for the airline industry in attendance at the APEX / IFSA Global EXPO, as the innovation in professional textiles is very impressive and offers solutions to our challenges. This will take the exhibition to the next level for being a one-stop-shop for sourcing within the airline industry.”
