Portuguese fashion in NYC

Portuguese exchange associations APICCAPS, Anivec and AORP unite to bring the best of the nation’s inventive designs.
APICCAPS, in partneship with ANIVEC and AORP, have made the debut of fashion design footwear brands as part of a special “Made in Portugal” activity amid the footwear trade event PROJECT Sole, in New York.
APICCAPS and Anivec have disclosed a show-halting instillation featuring the Portuguese footwear, clothing and accessories brands giving retailers and buyers a visual preview of the country’s best contemporary brands.
Footwear brands included Brusque, Carlos Santos, Cloud Footwear, COM – Creation Of Minds, Coxx-Borba, Dromedaris, Felmini, Flex and Go, Fly London, Lemon Jelly, Mocc’s and Boat Dock’s, apparel from, Daily Day, Frenken, Vandoma, Westmister, Inimigo, Qvinto and jewelry from Galeiras, Monseo and Eleutério.
The associations have united so as to advance Portugal’s quality craftsmanship and proficient manufacturing. “We trust Portuguese footwear fares to the US – which in 2017 have achieved 70 million euros – can twofold in the coming years. Our thought is to make a worldwide introduction of the Portuguese footwear. We’re certain that when the American clients find the nature of the Portuguese footwear they won’t exchange it for whatever else,” states Luís Onofre, originator and President of APICCAPS.
Project Sole commenced the partnership amid the July Marketplace, which occurred from July 22nd to July 24th in the Jacob Javits Center and was trailed by a strong exhibit at FN PLATFORM, amid MAGIC Las Vegas, where almost 20 people’s Portuguese footwear brands have displayed their SS19 accumulations, most for the first time.
“We have been working with APICCAPS to prepare the manufacturing plants and brands to work with USA brands and retailers. With the majority of the chat regarding taxes, now may be the perfect time for retailers and brands to take a gander at Portugal for generation and item,” shares Leslie Gallin, President Footwear, UBM Fashion.
In festivity of the association, Portuguese trade associations, APICCAPS and Portuguese Apparel Association have united in the Poject Sole, alongside the FDRA, to make the event at The Standard Hotel happen. The occasion has promoted a Design Showcase, exhibiting the best of the Portuguese footwear, dress and adornments.
