A small team from PULSAR®, including the company’s Managing Director, Stuart Jukes, successfully completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on the 16th May 2025, raising over £2,500 for the Railway Children Charity.
The challenging 24.4-mile route with over 5,000 feet of elevation was completed without any major complications, although Stuart Jukes described the feat as “one of the hardest things I have ever done both physically and mentally.”

“Without my team pushing me along—quite almost literally in some parts—I would have never completed all 3 peaks,” Stuart Jukes said. “If it hadn’t been for the donations, I would definitely have quit after the 2nd peak.”
The impressive physical feat involved 12 hours of almost non-stop walking, crossing the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m).
For those considering the challenge themselves, Stuart Jukes offers this advice: “If you really want a challenge, have a go. The only thing I suggest is you do some form of training beforehand, as a few trips to and from the kettle isn’t really enough on reflection.”

Founded in 1995, Railway Children works in India, Tanzania, and the UK to protect vulnerable children from street life through strategic transport network partnerships. The charity identifies at-risk youth, provides immediate support, and advocates for stronger protection policies—all stemming from founder David Maidment’s encounter with child exploitation within the transport services in India.
