With this plan, Sizekick was founded in the summer of 2022 and joined forces with Hohenstein as a strategic partner. And where are things today?

The Munich-based start-up has been growing rapidly in the last 1.5 years – both the team and the customer base. Its first customers included the Swiss multi-brand shop for sustainable fashion Rrrevolve, the premium outdoor brand Black Diamond from the USA and Marc Cain, a global brand with German roots in the premium sector. Recently, Breuninger, one of the leading multi-brand e-commerce players in Germany, as well as the famous brand Joop and the marketplace Avocadostore also joined forces with Sizekick. These are just a few examples.

Real-life performance

Sizekick’s partner shops can look forward to rapid success, which becomes obvious when looking at the numbers. For example, at one of the shops Sizekick users showed an 8.6% lower return rate after only 3 months. Also, the effect of size uncertainty should not be underestimated as one of the main reasons online shoppers do not buy from a shop. Therefore, it makes sense to reduce this uncertainty and provide support in finding the right size so online purchases are actually completed. Thanks to Sizekick’s sizing support, the conversion rate, i.e. the proportion of users who buy the item of clothing after using Sizekick, is up to 25%. Any hurdles that might hinder trying out Sizekick’s new technology appear to be extremely low, and shoppers appreciate the provided help. Almost 90% of all shoppers who start using Sizekick complete the user journey and receive their individual size recommendations. And age doesn’t matter either: users are between 16 and 85 years old.

How does Sizekick work?

The AI-based technology always offers two options to find the right size recommendation. With BodyFinder, Sizekick’s AI suggests realistic body shapes to choose from. Alternatively, the video-based BodyScanner option enables a body scan using a smartphone’s video function – simply rotate once in front of the camera.

Furthermore, Sizekick’s AI was trained on Hohenstein’s data, which is one of the world’s largest and highest-quality 3D body scan datasets.
