Supertouch Expands Footwear Offering with New Lightweight Safety Trainers

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Workwear specialist, Supertouch, has further enhanced its range of protective footwear with the introduction of new lightweight safety trainers.

The BCG50 and high-top BXG50 shoes use a 200-joule fibre glass toe cap to reduce weight and support wearer mobility, making them an ideal choice for those in need of effective foot protection while on the move.

The trainers also have a breathable microfiber upper and mesh lining, helping to keep the wearers’ feet cool and comfortable throughout the day. Additional features include antistatic, oil and slip-resistant soles which together with a reinforced midsole, serve to provide further protection.

Designed for active workers, they are suited for warehousing, construction, driving and various other lightweight duties. Moreover, their composite penetration-resistant midsole and fibreglass toe caps can be worn in industries with metal-free requirements, such as electronics manufacturing and airport airside operations.

This addition supports Supertouch’s aim of expanding its footwear offering, in line with the company’s mission of addressing the diverse needs of workforces across both the UK and Ireland.

Khurram Akhtar, Director of Products at Supertouch, comments: “While safety footwear must provide sufficient protection to the end user, each item should also cater to the wearer’s working circumstances. Trainers for those who are often on the move must therefore also be designed to improve productivity and mobility. With low and high-top options alongside a range of features, these newest introductions serve to do just that, while being a valuable addition to our growing PPE offering.”

The BCG50 and high-top BXG50 models are available in sizes from UK sizes 3 to 11, with both available in a black colourway and the BCG50 is also available in black and orange.
