The PCIAW® is governed by a non-executive board comprising experts from within the global industry representative of its breadth and cross-section of membership, ensuring your association truly represents all sectors within it.

Through the board, the strategic direction of the association is set and performance monitored ensuring its mission is achieved for our members and the industry as a whole. 4 board meetings per year will be held across the country, bringing a skill set together that has been hand-picked to ensure the PCIAW® not only has some of the best minds in the business as the driving force behind its mission, but that it very quickly establishes itself as the single collective voice of the industry, strengthening the future for everyone involved.

Abby Hannah brings a unique blend of expertise to the forefront of firefighting PPE supply chains. With a degree in Biological Sciences and nearly a decade of experience, she continues her work with materials and fibres crucial to PPE manufacturing. Currently collaborating with international standard committees, Abby is keen on shaping the future of firefighting protective clothing. Her insights bridge science, industry, and safety standards, ensuring frontline responders have the best protection available.

Having more than 30 years of experience in the textile and clothing industry. César, descendent of a tailoring family, founded his company in 1985 with only 20 employees.


Hendrikus “Rick” van Es

Co-Owner, KIG & Partner, PHANTOMLEAF® Textiles GmbH

Close to 30 years of experience within the textile value chain, from yarn and fabric production, over development, marketing and sales of applied chemistry, to garment making. Specialized in textile processing, sales and marketing in various end-user segments, such as automotive, professional clothing, PPE and military use. Experience in working across regions and previously held executive positions in leading textile companies.


Jonathan McKendry

Jonathan is the Business Development Director for Cooneen Group and has over 20 years of experience in the professional clothing industry. Leading the business development of the Cooneen group across the workwear, defence and protection sectors gives Jonathan the ability to offer guidance and advice to the PCIAW®.

Chairman, Madeira UK

Karen leads the Madeira teams for the Coloreel and Wear2Go projects, being a founder member of the consortium involved with concept for Wear2Go and is involved with strategic development concepts for the global Madeira organisation.


Natalie Wilson

Managing Director, Workwear Solutions International

With 15 years’ industry experience Natalie brings a wealth of knowledge, including overseas production management, technical PPE design and product development


Ryan Dhindsa

A self-proclaimed “cobbler”, Ryan brings a wealth of experience manufacturing technical footwear for industries including firefighting, police and military. Driven by innovation, Ryan and his team at Tuffking continue to push the boundaries of the safety footwear industry, developing raw materials made from genuine recycled content. Proficient in international safety standards, he’s collaborated with governments in more than 19 countries, ensuring the protection of emergency service personnel.
