TOTOWA, N.J. – Bedding industry supplier Precision Textiles has developed a new eight-model pillow collection that offers the same FR capabilities as its IQ FIT Glass Free lineup of products.
The Cradle Comfort family of pillows will be sold under a number of brands, including the company’s SlumberShield label and as a private-label option. Precision Textiles introduced its line of glass-free FR solutions as an alternative to FR options made with fibreglass.
“With our company’s dedication and support in helping our customers address government requirements for FR mattress compliance, we decided to bring the same protection technology based on recent consumer insights in advance of a defined government regulation. We were able to take our technology and apply it to a pillow, assuring not only great comfort, but additional protection,” said Bob O’Connell, executive vice president of marketing and merchandising at Precision Textiles. “We’re the experts in FR solution products, so we felt it was necessary to bring this protection to other parts of the sleep system.”
The patent-pending collection is the latest in the company’s lineup designed to give manufacturers and retailers alternatives in FR solutions. The pillows’ inner covers are made with the chemical-free, glass-free fabric from Precision’s IQ FIT Glass Free collection that serves as the FR barrier and provides an antimicrobial layer for a more hygienic sleep.
Greenguard Gold certified and also certified under the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s BioPreferred Programme, the pillows are available in queen and king, are compressed packed and shipped in an eco-friendly package designed to reduce the company’s carbon footprint and lower delivery costs.
