Workwear demands
Tower’s range of products has always covered the full scope of PPE, clothing, safety, and hygiene. But in recent years workwear has become an increasingly big focus within Tower’s portfolio.
Image and identification have seen growth in demand with good quality, functional workwear adorned by logos that make employees feel a sense of belonging and loyalty, whilst simultaneously improving brand awareness.
Developing solutions

Tower worked with a global waterproof manufacturer to develop a new foul-weather solution for their client SSE. This was designed specifically for harsh winter conditions, and to prevent the garment becoming uncomfortable and heavy when wet. As the engineers worked with electrical systems with the potential risk of being exposed to an arc flash incident, the new solution was also made to be arc resistant.
The garment was certified, and field tested with the client, who reported it performed excellently.
Working with the AA

Tower has been partnered with the AA since late 2012 – nearly ten years. Initially, the AA required a bespoke uniform supplier who could provide wardrobe management via an online system.
During the decade since then, Tower has worked closely with the AA’s in-house design team on workwear designs and met with the AA’s uniform forum to get wearer feedback on the products.
Tower also supported the AA’s Road Ops team with tactical activity, including dressing the AA Patrolman of the Year as Santa Claus for a successful TV ad campaign.
Leveraging expertise

Tower was appointed as the RAC’s PPE uniform supplier in 2021, as they could provide a system to standardise and rationalise the product range and offer a process for managing garment allocation.
The RAC also wanted to partner with a supplier that understood the technical requirements for patrols dealing with fuel and had the knowledge to join the important conversations on EVs.
Tower was also chosen for being able to support the transition of existing stock and offer end-of-life secure garment disposal for workwear and uniforms for the RAC.
Supporting sustainability
Tower works with clients to measure and calculate cost-in-use, to help them make better long-term decisions, and encourage clients to choose higher-quality products that last much longer.
To Tower, waste is the enemy of sustainability. A good, strong supply chain is a sustainable supply chain, which is why they work with partners to make constant improvements.
Bringing the source closer to home is another way Tower has better control over their choices, be more environmentally friendly, reduce carbon miles, and take more steps on the road to net-zero.
