Reuse Economy Expo | 19 and 20 may 2026
Join us at the epicenter of DPP transformation

This year, the Digital Product Passport takes center stage at Reuse Economy Expo Paris with a dedicated DPP Village and the patronage of French President Emmanuel Macron. With 4,000+ participants from 30 nations, this is the unmissable gathering for the circular economy.
Worldline Track&Trace, a global leader in traceability solutions, will showcase the latest evolutions of TX DPP, its innovative Digital Product Passport platform.
The regulatory timeline is tightening. DPP will be mandatory for batteries by February 18 2027, for steel and iron in October 2027, and for textiles and tyres by early 2029. Yet according to a New Forterro study (August-September 2025) only 50% of European mid-market manufacturers believe they’re adequately prepared for DPP compliance.
Worldline Track&Trace addresses this critical gap through live demonstrations, expert consultations, and the launch of its Industry Leadership Program.
Anticipation is Your Competitive Edge
Why early adoption matters
The deadline may seem distant, and some criteria can remain unclear. Yet one reality is inescapable: compliance with European DPP requirements is non-negotiable for market access. The consequences of delay are severe: constrained supplier options, skyrocketing deployment costs, halted production lines, blocked shipments, and market exclusion.
The regulatory timeline confirms the acceleration:
- Batteries: mandatory February 18, 2027 (Data Attribute Longlist updated by BatteryPass March 25, 2026)
- Iron & Steel: Delegated Acts expected 2026 (Draft study already available Study on DPP Content for Iron and Steel Products under ESPR)
- Textiles & Tires: official guidelines anticipated Early 2027

Learning from experience, the tobacco industry precedent
Worldline Track&Trace brings decades of large-scale compliance experience. The company guided five European nations and all major tobacco groups (STG, Mac Baren, Von Eicken, Pöschl, JTI, PMI) through regulatory compliance with the European Tobacco Products Directive (adopted 2014), generating over 15 million secured IDs and tracking 15+ billion unique products annually.
When compliance became mandatory in 2019, the consequences were stark: production shutdowns, blocked inventory, and lost customers for those unprepared.
“We witnessed firsthand what happens when businesses fail to anticipate,” says Paul Defiez, Head of Worldline Track&Trace Product Management. “Our mission is to ensure manufacturers don’t face the same fate with DPP.”
A Multi-Front Strategy for DPP Readiness
Drawing from this experience, Worldline Track&Trace has developed a comprehensive approach to DPP implementation across client production chains.
How we accelerated Tier 1 Adoption: the Vietnam model
Data collection is arguably the most critical challenge in DPP adoption. Manufacturers and raw material suppliers are on the frontline, and they need support.
With commercial presence in 170+ countries and offices in 40 countries, Worldline Track&Trace is a local-first partner at global scale for tier 1 suppliers worldwide. Proximity is critical to embed locally, understand regional nuances, supply chain realities, and operational constraints.

In March 2026, Worldline Track&Trace partnered with AGTEK (Vietnam’s textile industry association) to demonstrate DPP compliance requirements to 120+ key industry players at a conference in Ho Chi Minh City. This wasn’t just awareness-building, it was practical competency development to help European brands overcome supplier hesitations and navigate their supply chain transformation. The result: a mobilized ecosystem, manufacturers understanding the urgency, and suppliers ready to invest.
The Industry Leadership Program: an iterative learning approach
Implementation challenges aren’t generic, they’re unique to each manufacturer products, processes and production lines. You can’t prepare for what you can’t see. The solution? Anticipate.
Worldline Track&Trace created the Industry Leadership program specifically for SMEs facing DPP adoption:
- Exploratory sandbox to standardize early
- Identify friction points before they become crises
- Prepare confidently for scale deployment
- Transform DPP from compliance burden into competitive advantage
